About the Session

How do rhythms shape our lives—from music to science, from cardiac medicine to the art of writing? In this unique discussion, musicians, scientists, and creators will explore the many dimensions of rhythm. A cardiologist, a physicist specializing in cold atoms, musicians, and a language and writing researcher will reveal how rhythmic patterns drive human creativity, influence the body and mind, and shape our emotional experiences. What makes a rhythm compelling, immersive, or even healing? Together, we will examine the unexpected connections between sound, pulse, and the hidden patterns that exist in nature, science, and the arts.
